Welcome to the BITS Horse Rescue Center!

12/23/08: A new deal was reached with Keeneland Racetrack to house all of our very active racehorses. That takes a good 45 horses off the farm, and it's amazing to see so many volunteers at the track for us! Really, we're not racing for the money, but just to get the horses out there with experience and to keep them active. They were about going nuts setting at the Rescue! We're also making a giant effort to get every single one of the capable horses into the show ring for experience and to get them out for prospective buyers to see.
We've also contacted our local vet, and next week all of the stallions will be gelded so that they can run with the mares! Hooray!

UPDATE: The BITS Horse Rescue Center is now under new ownership, and many updates are coming, as well as new horses! We hope to revive the BHRC and to help it live up to what was originally planned by the first owner, who no longer has the time to manage the facility.
